Aeration & Seeding
The most positive application you can do for your lawn.
Core Aeration removes soil plugs from you lawn approximately 1
to 3” long and ¾” round. This depends on the compaction of your
soil and the moisture in the ground. Pulling the plugs out
allows your soil to loosen and promote rapid root growth giving
roots room to expand. This also allows your fertilizer, and
other nutrients such as lime, sulfur and water to get your root
system faster.
Core Aeration is usually done in the fall but can be done in the
spring also. Fall Aeration allows you an already warm soil temp,
great for growing. The cooler days ahead are ideal for seeding
and preparing your lawn for next spring. Grass seeding should be
done by approximately October 15th to allow seed to
germinate before winter.
